Your First micro:bit Robot: What the KS4019 Mini Car Teaches

The KS4019 is a mini smart robot car built around a micro:bit V2 robot shield, with a PCA9685 servo driver and a TB6612 motor driver. Two TCRT5000 line-tracking sensors (left on P12, right on P13) let the car follow a black line.

Two ways to program it

  • MakeCode: drag-and-drop blocks, a friendly first step into coding
  • MicroPython: text-based code for learners ready to go further

The official documentation includes 22 MakeCode projects and 21 MicroPython projects, covering line following, obstacle avoidance, and remote control. Note that this kit is sold without the micro:bit board itself.
